What is lupine?
The lupine bean is a superfood that has the highest concentration of grain protein in the world.
The most ancient evidence of lupine consumption dates back 4,000 years ago during the 12th dynasty of ancient Egypt. Most recently, the Andean American variety of this lupine bean, was domesticated by pre-Incan inhabitants of present-day Peru. Nowadays, lupine plants are under widespread cultivation around the world, including Northern Patagonia, where fertile soil and purest rains grow one of the best lupine varieties in the world.
